The banner/streamer was sold at Wal-Mart, which is a great place to get a read on everyday Americans. This is especially true regarding what consumers are purchasing. This banner was available shortly after September 11th. I don't believe you will find this in the store now.
As an object, it presents an interesting idea. Will people hang their commemorative banner on their house or flagpole each September? Will September 11th be marked by holiday someday in the future? People will decorate their homes with tribute items and this streamer. A new holiday to encourage consumerism and remembrance.
